In-Home Care, When It’s the Right Fit
At Mount Carmel Animal Hospital, we’re committed to providing care that meets the needs of both pets and their people. While most care is best provided in our hospital—where we have access to our full medical team and tools—there are some circumstances where a house call may be a better fit for a particular pet or client.
To support those needs, we offer limited house call services for established MCAH clients within 15 miles of our hospital in Monkton, Maryland.
Our Home Care Services with a veterinarian range from wellness exams to end-of-life care. Technician services include toenail trims, injections, fluid administration, and blood draws.
We can also transport pets to and from the hospital for in-clinic services, including exams, surgeries, and diagnostics such as radiographs, ultrasounds, and lab work. If your pet is able to travel but you’re unable to bring them in yourself, Mount Carmel Animal Hospital offers pick-up and drop-off services provided by our team.
End-of-Life Care Outside Our Service Area
We understand that some families prefer to say goodbye in a familiar setting. While we do provide in-home euthanasia for established clients within 15 miles of our hospital, we are unable to offer this service outside that area.
If you live beyond our service radius, there are several providers in the region who specialize in at-home euthanasia:
- Peaceful Passages – Serving the Baltimore region
- Eternal Pawprints – Based in Harford County
- Lap of Love – Serving parts of Pennsylvania
We are always here to support you. If you’re unsure where to start or need help coordinating care, please don’t hesitate to call our team.
